The Register of Deeds has custody of and safely keeps and preserves all records pertaining to land kept in the office of the Register of Deeds. The Register of Deeds shall also record or cause to be recorded all deeds, mortgages, maps, instruments and writings authorized by law to be recorded in the office of the Register of Deeds and shall perform all other duties as required by law. The Register of Deeds office does not do title searches.

Records are open for public viewing, Monday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m. to Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. excluding holidays designated by the County Commissioners.  Records in the Register of Deeds office are not available online.
